The 1965 Israel Bond Campaign for the sale of $4,000,000 worth of bonds in Brooklyn and $2,000,000 worth in Manhattan were opened here at two separate rallies today with sales totaling $900,000.
At the Manhattan rally, in Carnege Hall, Ira Guilden, general chairman of the New York drive, announced initial sales of $400,000. Charles H. Silver, special assistant to Mayor Robert F. Wagner, was the principal speaker. At the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where the drive was opened for that borough, the initial sales totaled $500,000. Rabbi Irving Miller addressed the Brooklyn meeting.
