Assurances that the Domincan Republic’s traditional friendship with Israel would continue in the future, and that the Government of the republic would continue to cooperate with Israel at the United Nations, were voiced here today by the President and Foreign Minister of this country when they conferred with Israel’s Deputy Prime Minister Abba Eban.

Mr. Eban, here on a four-day state visit, was given these assurances at a conference at the Presidential palace with President Donald Reid Cabral and Foreign Minister Ramon Caceres Troncoso. The Domincan leaders also asked that Israel continue its technical assistance to the country’s development program.
