The Canadian Association for Civil Liberties joined the Canadian Jewish Congress and the Ethical Education Association today in disapproving religious instruction in the public schools of the Province of Ontario.

Testifying before the Royal Commission on Civil Rights, a representative of the Canadian Association declared that religious instruction in the public schools must be opposed “because of its sectarian nature, because it divides children by faiths, and because it is unfair to children of minority faiths.”
