With impressive services attended by leading members of the Jewish and general community, Cincinnati celebrated today the 100th anniversary of the laying of the corner stone of the sanctuary of the Isaac M. Wise Temple.
The Temple, 123 years old, is named after the late Rabbi Isaac M. Wise, founder of the Reform movement in the United States. Today’s ceremonies inaugurated a series of events, to be conducted until August 1966, honoring the Temple. Principal participants in today’s ceremonies were Abraham S. Braude, president of the congregation; James L. Magrish, chairman of the centenary celebration; and Isidor Schifrin, secretary of the committee and chairman of the public relations committee.
