Israel Transport Minister to Continue Ban on Charter Flights from U.S.

Israel’s Transport Minister, Moshe Carmel, today informed the American Taavel Association that he intends to retain the ban on the use of charter flights between the United States and Israel. The Association, which favors the continuation of the present group fare system, had expressed concern over the matter.

The Tourist Ministry has also approved continuation of the ban on charter flights between the two countries in view of the success of the group fare plan.
