For the first time in quarter of a century, delegates to the national convention of the Zionist Organization of America will discuss and vote on basic revisions of the ZOA constitution when the organization holds its 68th annual conclave here during the weekend of July 1-4. The revisions, which have already been approved by the ZOA Executive Council, were formulated after months of consideration by a committee of prominent attorneys.
Israeli leaders stated to address the convention will include Joseph Saphir, member of the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and chairman of the Liberal party in Israel and Leo Dultzin, head of the economic department of the Jewish Agency executive. Other speakers will include Dr. Emanuel Neumann, president of the World Union of General Zionists and chairman of the American section of the Jewish Agency; and Jacques Torczyner, chairman of the national executive council of the ZOA. Dr. Max Nussbaum, president of the ZOA, announced the appointment of Dr. Harry F. Wechsler of New York, a national vice-president, as chairman of the convention committee.
