Jack N. Berkman of Steubenville, Ohio, has been appointed national chairman of the Jewish Center for the United Nations. The Center, currently located in the Sutton Place Synagogue here, is planning the construction of a new building near the United Nations as a companion to similar Protestant and Catholic centers.
