George Lincoln Rockwell, who recently announced his candidacy for Governor of Virginia on an independent ticket of his own, opened statewide campaign headquarters here yesterday, and announced that his political group will be called the White Constitutional Party. While he will not give up leadership of the American Nazi Party, he said, he will disassociate himself, as a gubernatorial candidate, from the Nazi Party.

Promising a “lively campaign,” Rockwell said “I will win, or come close to winning.” His campaign headquarters is decorated, inside and out, with both the American and Confederate flags, indicating he will emphasize Negro segregation in his campaign.
