The Senate Judiciary Committee today voted unanimously to confirm the nomination of Abe Fortas to be Supreme Court Justice.
Mr. Fortas becomes the fifth member of the highest court in history to be of Jewish faith. The others were Louis Dembitz Brandeis, Banjamin Cardozo, Felix Frankfurter and Arthur J. Goldberg.
