A delegation of Jewish War Veterans of the U. S. A. left by plane today for Viet Nam with full cooperation on the part of the U. S. Defense-Department which welcomed the trip.

The delegation was headed by National Commander Milton A. Waldor, of Newark, N. J., and includes national executive director Monroe R. Sheinberg. They will meet with Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., General William Westmoreland, Commander of U. S. forces, Jewish chaplains, and soldiers of Jewish and other faiths “to stress the backing of the JWV for the sacrifices of Americans in Viet Nam.”

“The fact that the American Jewish community at large and Jewish veterans of previous wars are behind the fighting men will be transmitted” and “the protests of noisy dissenters” deplored, a JWV announcement said.
