Arthur J. Goldberg, chief United States Ambassador to the United Nations, returned here today to attend funeral services for his mother-in-law, Mrs. Esther Feldman Kurgans, who died here this weekend at Michael Reese Hospital. She was 83. Mrs. Kurgans was active in Pioneer Women. Ambassador Goldberg cut short vital Government missions abroad relating to the Viet Nam war to attend the obsequies for his mother-in-law.
