Farband to Aid U.S. Jewish Youth in Studies in Israeli Colleges

Certain American Jewish youths planning to study at the Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, the Haifa Technion, Dar-Dan University or some other Israeli schools of higher learning, or to participate in a kibbutz workshop sponsored by Habonim, will be assisted by the Farband-Labor Zionist Order, according to a decision announced today by the fraternal organization’s national executive committee, A scholarship fund for this purpose was established by Farband on the occasion of the organization’s recent 50th anniversary.

Eligibility requirements of the awards, limited to children and grandchildren of persons who are and have been members of Farband in good standing for at least five years, specify that each candidate must be a high school graduate and must also furnish proof that he has been accepted by an Israeli institution of higher learning or from a kibbutz or Habonim workshop.
