Firemen estimated today losses of $350, 000 in a fire which destroyed Zemach David Synagogue here yesterday. The Hassidic synagogue was undergoing modeling and refinishing. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Rabbi David Goldstein, leader of the synagogue, said many Torah scrolls were lost in the blaze. He said services would be held for the time being in the village school.
