Syrian positions at Dardara, overlooking Israel’s Huleh Valley opened machinegun fire this weekend on an Israeli Army unit on routine patrol. The unit returned the fire, silencing the position as well as Syrian gunners at two other places nearby which joined in the attack. The Israeli unit suffered no casualties, and returned to its base after completing its patrol.
