William Avrunin Elected President of Jewish Communal Workers

William Avrunin, executive director of the Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit, was elected president of the National Conference of Jewish Communal Service at its 68th annual meeting which is now being held, He succeeds Maurice Bernstein, of New York City. Other officers elected were Sidney Z. Vincent, of Cleveland, first vice-president; Martha K, Selig, New York, second vice-president; Manuel S. Batshaw, New York, secretary; and Saul Schwartz, Newark, treasurer.
