Irving Mitchel Felt, president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, was honored here tonight at Hotel Plaza, for his three years of presidency of the organization. More than 500 guests attended the dinner at which Senator Jacob K. Javits and Mayor John V. Lindsay were the principal speakers.
Mr. Felt’s term as president of the Federation will officially end on Monday, June 20. Mr. Felt has had a long career of communal and civic activities which includes service as a chairman of the Greater New York Fund, as a president of the Jewish Child Care Association, as a trustee of the Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center. He has been a director and former vice-president of the Navy League of the U.S.
