The spiritual and religious life in Latin America was discussed here today at a reception given by the South American section of the World Jewish Congress in honor of Dr. David Kahane, the recently appointed Chief Rabbi of the Buenos Aires Kehilla.
Speakers at the reception included Dr. Moises Goldman, chairman of the WJC South American executive, and Mark Turkow, secretary. Replying to the greetings, Rabbi Kahane recalled his close ties with the World Jewish Congress when he served as rabbi in Poland before the Nazi holocaust.
