A unique class designed to teach young men the art of blowing the shofar has been established at Temple Sherith Israel. The class will be taught by Dr. Bertram Wolfsohn, a local dentist who has been blowing the shofar at the Temple since 1930. The initial class will consist of two men in their forties and three boys in their early teens. They are expected to complete their training by the High Holy Days.
