30 International Conventions to Beheld in Israel; Arrangements Made

Government sources said today that 30 international conventions have been scheduled in Israel next year and that most convention planners have made detailed arrangements for the conclaves. The figure on scheduled conventions was revealed by Tourism Minister Moshe Kol.

One thousand dentists from 37 countries are attending the 54th annual convention of the International Dental Federation which opened here yesterday. In his opening speech, Prof. P.O. Federsen, president, called on them “to work together to create a world of mutual understanding for the benefit of all mankind. Israeli Health Minister Israel Barzilai and Minister Kol addressed the opening session.

A group of 160 leading American Jewish educators arrived here today for the annual conference of the National Council for Jewish Education, the first to be held in Israel. The educators will hold a dialogue with some 40 Israeli counterparts and will visit Israeli educational institutions during their stay. The conference will open Saturday night at the Hebrew University.
