Abba Eban, Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Philip Bernstein, of New York, executive director of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, received honorary degrees here today at the 50th anniversary convocation of Western Reserve University.
Mr. Eban, who delivered the convocation address, was given the degree of doctor of humane letters. Mr. Bernstein received the degree of doctor of laws. He had received his master’s degree in social work at Western Reserve University’s School of Applied Social Science in 1934.
