Israeli circles expressed belief today that the new military agreement between Syria and Egypt which was announced last Thursday might, to some extent, help to prevent additional Syrian inspired sabotage within Israel territory. However, should Egypt be unwilling or unable to exert a restraining influence on the Damascus regime, Israel will feel herself free to react in any way she thinks fit.
