Monument to Martyred Jewry Dedicated in East German City

A monument to the 40,000 Jews who were slaughtered by the Nazis in Leipzig, now in East Germany, has been unveiled there by Paul Froelich, a member of the central committee of East Germany’s Communist Party, it was reported here today.

It was also disclosed that Adolf Diamant, a member of the Jewish community of Frankfurt, had conveyed to the Jews of Germany the greetings of the Central Council of German Jews of West Germany and of Rabbi A. Lichtigfield of the State of Hesse in West Germany.
