A Nazi center, comprising emigres of the Hitler regime, is active in the Brazilian province of Santa Catarina, it was disclosed here today by the executive of the Confederation of Jewish Communities in Brazil. Headquarters of the center are located on an estate belonging to former Germans.

Most of the inhabitants of the province are immigrants who came from Germany and settled there after the Second World War. The report said that a number of Nazis active in the center are wanted by the West German authorities for a variety of crimes.

The Confederation of Jewish Communities sent a sharp letter of protest today to Linia C, an Italian shipping company which announced this week that it was terminating its arrangement to act as agent in Brazil for the Zim-Israel Navigation Company after yielding to pressure exerted by the Arab boycott office. In its letter of protest, the Confederation warned that the Linia C line, which has many Jewish customers, would sustain more loss from yielding to the Arab boycott than it would have if it had not terminated the arrangement with Zim.
