Two units of the British Mediterranean Fleet, a destroyer and a frigate, arrived in Haifa today for a four-day visit. The ships received the traditional gun salute.
Captain D. W. Harper, commander of the destroyer fleet, visited Israel Navy command offices and Mayor Abba Khoushy of Haifa who returned the visit. The 500 visiting navy men were entertained by the Israeli Navy.
