Baron David Snider, a member of the Legislative Council, the upper house of the parliament of the Australian State of Victoria, and a prominent Jewish leader, died here. Active in the affairs of the Jewish National Fund, Baron Snider was Federal chairman of the Menzies Forest Project in Israel. In 1962 he headed an Australian trade mission to Israel.
