Funeral services for Jack Ruby, the slayer of Lee Harvey Oswald, will be held Friday morning in the chapel of a Chicago Jewish mortuary, a spokesman for the mortuary said today. The time of the funeral service was decided at a gathering of relatives of Mr. Ruby who flew here from Detroit and Dallas to meet with relatives who live in Chicago.

The spokesman said that Rabbi David Graubart, a Conservative rabbi, would officiate at the services, which will be private. Only members of the family will attend. The spokesman described Rabbi Graubert as a friend of the Ruby family. The remains will be interred in the Ruby family plot in Westlawn Cemetery in Chicago. Mr. Ruby, who died in Dallas Tuesday, will be buried beside his parents. The body was flown from Dallas yesterday.
