Israel has extended technical aid to 70 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Mediterranean area, Foreign Minister Abba Eban disclosed today in a report to Parliament.

He said 1,500 trainees from developing countries received training in Israel in 1966, and 640 Israeli experts were on missions abroad. Courses conducted by Israeli experts took place in six Latin American countries, five African nations and in Ceylon. He reported 600 persons studied finance and administration of local government and construction in those courses.

At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that about 400 Israeli agricultural and water resource experts are now serving in 42 countries around the world. Most of those experts are aiding various development projects in Latin America and Africa.
