U.S. Agrees on 60 Percent Increase of Israeli Textile Imports

The United States and Israel have negotiated a new agreement to increase by 60 percent the amount of Israeli cotton textiles to be imported by the U.S.A.

The United States, after long and difficult negotiations, agreed to increase the quota of exports of cotton textiles from Israel to the United States from 14, 500, 000 square yards to 23, 000, 000 square yards. The agreement covers the period from October 1, 1966, to December 30, 1970.
