President Shazar remitted tonight to three months the one-year prison terms of two editors of a sensationalist Israeli publication who were arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned in February in secrecy. Revelation of the action caused a storm of criticism of the Israeli Government.

The editors of “Bul,” Shmuel Mor and Maxim Gilan, will be freed one month from now under the reduced sentence. They were charged for publication of an article allegedly containing false information “harmful to the State.”
