Polish Town Names Street After Jewish Hero of Warsaw Ghetto

The Polish city of Bielsk has named a street in the town after Josef Lewartowski, a Jewish hero of the Warsaw Ghetto revolt, according to a dispatch received here today from Warsaw. The Bielsk City Council memorialized Mr. Lewartowski, during the ceremonies dedicating the street in his memory, as one “who has attained immortality by his courage and fortitude” during the rebellion against the Nazis in the Ghetto of Warsaw.
