Aryeh L. Pincus, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive, called upon Israel and Israelis last night to speak “not in slogans but in sincere expressions of concern for American Jewry if we want to draw still closer to it.”
He made the appeal in an address to a session of the Agency on relations between Israel and the Jewish communities of North and South America. He stressed that “we will be able to save the Diaspora only when we have proved our determination to develop here in Israel a Zionist consciousness and a sense of responsibility for the survival of the Jewish people in its entity.”
