Three Jews, arrested by Soviet police in Riga last summer while they attended a concert there by Israeli folksinger Geula Gil, have been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment by a Riga court on charges of attempting to use force to obstruct police at the concert. Their names were given as Maxim Kushlin, Avigail Roth and Mark Blum.

The sentences were disclosed here today after an unidentified spectator at the public trial in the people’s court of the Kirov District of Riga, made public his notes on the proceedings.
