Major Jewish community agencies here are cooperating in efforts to provide relief for the needy who have suffered from the riots which recently devastated many homes and businesses in the city’s Negro ghetto.

The Jewish Vocational Service is mobilizing resources to secure jobs for those needing employment and preparing a referral service to channel information concerning small business loans, insurance and legal problems resulting from business losses incurred during the disturbances.

The Jewish Community Center, Jewish Community Council, Hebrew Free Loan and other Jewish agencies are engaged in efforts to ease some of the human problems left in the wake of the turmoil. Special efforts in this area have also been launched by the Jewish Family and Children’s Service.
