Gen. Yitzhak Rabin, Israel’s chief of staff, declared today that, if war broke out again, Israel was ready to carry the fight from its present bases in occupied Arab territory, in a strategy of fighting the enemy on the enemy’s soil. Meanwhile, he told Yediot Achronot in an interview, Israel would continue to maintain its occupation positions until a settlement was reached with the Arab countries.
