Anti-jewish Leader in Morocco Calls for Islamic Congress on Arab-israeli Issues

The summoning of an Islamic congress to consider the Israel-Arab dispute was advocated in Casablanca today by Allal el Fassi, chairman of Istiqlal, the Moroccan opposition party, which has been consistently anti-Jewish in domestic affairs. In his opening speech to the party’s annual congress today, Mr. el Fassi declared: “We must interest the Arab and Moslem states in the question of Palestine and Sinai generally, and ask them to meet at an Islamic Congress for these Arab and Moslem lands.”
