Beirut newspapers reported today that Arab sabotage and terrorist groups were consolidated recently under the command of Ahmed Shukeiry’s Palestine Liberation Front. They will be known henceforth as “Jataf.” The new organization supercedes El Fatah and other terrorist bands.
A military tribunal in Gaza pronounced life sentences at hard labor on two Arab youths and 15 years’ imprisonment on a third for the murder of Daniel Abel, a 16-year-old volunteer from Belgium, last August. The three men came from El Arish in occupied Sinai territory. The lighter sentence meted out to one of the defendants was in consideration of his youth.
