Traffic violators in Jerusalem went unpunished today by order of the district police commandant, who suspended ticketing in celebration of “Policemen’s Day.” The occasion was marked by police parades through the main streets of the city. Police squads were posted at intersections to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic but their ticket books, for once, were absent.
