Rabbi Naphtali H. Carlebach, of Congregation Kehilath Jacob, once Chief Rabbi of Baden, Austria, died here Saturday at the age of 78. Rabbi Carlebach was born in Lubeck and served as a rabbi in Berlin and in Baden before coming to the United States in 1939.
