Red Cross Announces Israeli-egyptian Agreement on Prisoner Exchange

The International Red Cross announced here today that agreement had been reached by Israel and Egypt on a general exchange of prisoners of the June war.

The exchange will begin in a few days at the Suez Canal, the announcement said. Israel is holding more than 4,000 Egyptian prisoners. Egypt is detaining 16 Israeli soldiers, most of them airmen.
