June 9 has been confirmed by members of the Zionist General Council as the opening date of the next World Zionist Congress to be held in Jerusalem, Council chairman Yaacov Tzur announced here last night. Council members were asked to confirm the date in a questionnaire circulated among them. The Council praesidium decided not to convene the Council in March because the date is too close to the Congress opening.
