French Jews Increased Gifts for Israel Twenty-fold, Rothschild Reports

Contributions of French Jewry to Israel during 1967 totalled $12 million, roughly 20 times as much as in previous years, Baron Alain de Rothschild, the French Jewish communal leader, reported today. Among the 94,000 who contributed to the record total were non-Jews totalling seven percent of the givers.
