The Association of Polish Jewish ex-servicemen charged in a telegram to the Polish Ambassador here today that the current campaign to make Jews the scapegoats for the emergent unrest in Poland is “reminiscent of the methods of the Czar, Stalin and Hitler.” The group, made up of Jewish veterans who fought in the Polish Army during World War II, said it was “deeply shocked by the officially inspired anti-Semitic campaign in Poland.” It said that “We who fought alongside our Polish comrades in arms for a free Poland, denounce in the strongest terms the baseless and false accusations against Polish Jews repeatedly made by members of the Government and by the press.”
