The Polish Communist regime’s “anti-Zionist” campaign is rapidly assuming the shape of an out-and-out purge of Jews from the political, cultural and economic life of the country, according to information received here today. Latest reports from Warsaw were that Jews are being purged from the press and publishing industries following a general drive to eliminate them from the communications field generally.

Reports from Warsaw indicated that it is apparently the policy of the forces pressing the anti-Jewish campaign against the will of Wladyslaw Gomulka, titular head of the Community party, to rewrite the history of World War II, to depict the Jews as the collaborators rather than the victims of the Nazi occupation forces and to minimize the extent of Polish Jewish suffering during the Nazi regime.
