The Canadian Jewish Congress will shortly begin construction of the Samuel Bronfman House, its new museum and archives building, in downtown Montreal. E. Leo Kolber. chairman of the advisory building committee, said that the building is being named after Mr. Bronfman in recognition of nearly a quarter of a century of outstanding service as national president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, “which under his leadership developed into the true voice of Canadian Jewry.” Mr. Bronfman is now chairman of the board of governors of CJC.

The structure, to be completed within 18 months, will house CJC’s national archives and museum, its bureau of Jewish information, libraries and educational departments.
