A “Provencal Village” consisting partly of a youth hostel and partly of private villas, will be built on Israel’s Mediterranean coast near Ashkelon, it was announced here today by Gaston Deferre, chairman of the Association Israel-Provence under whose auspices the village will be built. Land for the project was donated by the Ashkelon municipality.
