Israel is one of the countries participating in a United Nations sponsored program for industrial development promotion based here. Iraq and Egypt are also members. The program is under the aegis of the UN Industrial Development Organization. The Israeli representative is Ram Carni, deputy director of the Israel Investment Authority.
