The late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy was memorialized here today in a posthumous presentation of the 1968 “Annual America-Israel Friendship Award” of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America. In a ceremony approved by the Kennedy family, the citation was accepted by the late Senator’s colleague, Senator Jacob K. Javits, at the America-Israel Friendship dinner of the organization’s 43rd annual national convention.

In addresses, Yosef Tekoah, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, said the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia has strengthened Arab intransigence, and Sen. Javits said the Russians’ preoccupation with problems in Czechoslovakia may induce the Kremlin “leadership to scale down its provocative activities in the Middle East.”
