Jeremy Thorpe, British Liberal Party leader, paid tribute here to the Dutch people, political parties and Government for “recognizing before the Six-Day War that the threat to Israel was a threat to us all.” He delivered his remarks at a congress of the Liberal International, the World Liberal Union. The congress called for peace between the Arab states and Israel through direct negotiations, including provision for the Palestinian refugees and an end to Polish and Soviet Government anti-Semitism.
