Gregorio Faigon is Elected Head of Argentine Jewish Representative Organization

Gregorio Faigon, an engineer, has been elected president of the DAIA, the central Jewish representative organization of Argentina. He succeeds Dr. Isaac Golden-berg, who headed the organization for more than six years. Dr. Jose Kestelman, is new secretary-general, replacing Herzl Gesang. His first official act was to send a letter to United Nations Secretary-General U Thant expressing concern for the plight of Jews in Arab lands.
