A kosher hotel and restaurant in Mar del Plata, an Argentine sea resort, was severely damaged by vandals who left virulent anti-Semitic inscriptions and swastika daubings. The attack was made during the absence of the owners. Much of the furniture was destroyed. Abraham Rubinstein, chairman of the Mar del Plata section of the DAIA, the central representative agency of Argentine Jewry, denounced the vandalism in a statement to Raul Nava, the Buenos Aires provincial government minister.
